The international driving competition Beekbergen Apeldoorn is on!

Thanks to the support of loyal sponsors and ten new sponsors, the international driving event Beekbergen Apeldoorn is back on the calendar. Riant Equestrian Centre, home of former World Champion Mieke van Tergouw, will welcome the international pair and team drivers from 28 to 31 July 2011.

Ten new sponsors have committed themselves for three years to this unique driving event for horse teams, horse pairs and pony teams in the Netherlands.
Organizer and owner of Riant Mieke van Tergouw is very pleased that the competition is on again: "We are very happy that the sponsors appreciate our event and will support us until the 2013 edition. We have managed to nearly complete the budget and we now feel it is possible to continue. We will need the coming months to bring in the last financial resources, but I trust that we will succeed. Beekbergen is a fantastic event for the international driving sport and also for the city of Apeldoorn. We have done everything to keep this event on the calendar. Thanks to our loyal and new sponsors we are able to secure the high standard of our event. We are determined to make it a top event for the 26th time."
The international driving competition in Beekbergen is an important competition for all competitors, which will result in a very high level of drivers. The horse team competitors can earn valuable points to qualify for the FEI World Cup Driving coming winter. For the horse pairs, Beekbergen can be seen as general rehearsal for the World Championships, which will take place one month later in Conty, France.
The pony teams drivers will get the opportunity to show themselves in order to qualify for the World Combined Pony Driving Championships in Lipica, Slovenia, at the end of September.
